Ten Project Challenge

I know you were all snickering when you read my idea. But, although I’ve been lacking in actual knits-in-progress photos lately, I’m on the verge on catching up. Ten projects? Piece of cake! I just finished a dishcloth! (Come on, I get at least one, right?)

Here’s one I’ve started that will not be done quickly. I’m predicting August.

Swallowtail start

Swallowtail Shawl, from Interweave Knits Fall 2006, in Misti Alpaca. I actually started this while in Toronto, when I had time to concentrate on my first real lace project. As expected, it looks like a mess right now, but I promise, the pattern is actually in there.

Have a great weekend! If your local, we’ll be here this weekend. Hope to see some of you!

  1. Oooh, the Swallowtail Shawl! That is a fun one. I think I should get back to work on mine sometime… I’m almost done being mad at the pattern (or at myself for misreading it!).

I’m bummed that we’re going to miss the Shearing Festival tomorrow! I have a baby shower to go to in Burnsville or Bloomington and to go from way down south there to way north is just too much for me to deal with. I hope you all have a great time! We went last year and it was awesome.

  2. We are planning to go too. Maybe we will see you there.

  3. With the summer vacation almost upon me, I’m hoping that my knitting production will increase a bit. My mojo hasn’t been all that fired up of late. Maybe when I have more time to focus on things…

The shawl is looking lovely! Nice job.

  4. Yeah Swallowtail! It looks great. There’s a slight possibility that I’ll be at Shepherd’s Choice Festival too…since camping got rained out last night. I’ll keep an eye out for you if we go!

  5. Swallowtail is a lovely knit!

  6. That shawl looks like it will be beautiful!

  7. Lovely, just lovely. You’ve inspire me with that Swallowtail…I have to go knit now! Thanks!

  8. Swallowtail in on my list of one day….I just have to get my Little Miss Sunshine to stop pulling out my needles. I knit vanilla for now…Looking good so far.

  9. Your swallowtail looks great! Mine is within 10 rows of completion but requires a lot of concentration so it only gets 2 rows done every couple of days.

The nupps are a pain but I got one of the new addi lace needles and I was able to p5tog with them (prior to their arrival, I had to use a separate needle – size0000 – to perform that feat!). So I hope that tidbit helps you when you get to that section!
