Remember these soakers???
Yeah, the cutest pair I ever knit, that not only were a perfect fit but made use of my many soaker scraps, saving me $30+ for yarn for a new pair? The same soakers that Knittykid actually danced around with happiness for?
Sit down. Here they are now:
Felted!!!!
The suspects?
The Skeptic
My Mom
My Grandma
Little Man
Knittykid (not that the last two do the laundry, but they do occasionally throw something in the basket)
This is what happens in the first weeks after you have your third baby and you are lucky enough to have people who love you doing all the laundry. My guess is that they got tossed in with the boys laundry by mistake, but ooooh, what an “ouch” this one was. At least Spinner will be able to grow into them!
Mom, if it was you, I still love ya’!!! đ
“Ouch” indeed! Fortunately, you’ve still got one kid who can fit in them (eventually)!
They’ll be a great nightime cover. I’ve actually been meaning to knit a pair to be felted for nightime.
Oh no!!!
Alas!
Well, they’re still really cute. I like the idea of nighttime coverage.
It was me – I admit it! Spinner told me to do it . . .
They remind me of lederhosen now…
They will certainly be more water-proof now. I hate it when stuff like this happens. đ
I’m seeing ol’ soaker-sweater-sock dolls, monsters, creatures, what-have-you. Or felted-hand warmers for mom…
Oh, bummer! But now they’ll be extra waterproof, right? :-p
I guess I’ll take the blame đŚ I threw so much stuff in/out of washer & dryer I’m amazed one of the cats didn’t get tossed in!!!
Oh no!!!. Same thing happened to a pair of my socks.
that’s whatcha get for using that good wool… just kidding, major bummer, though I bet it’s nice having laundry help for the rest of your non-wool items…
happy knitting-
