The workshop was in full force last night. The saws in the basement were buzzing and the sewing machine was humming. Carols were playing and we were on schedule.
Then Knittybaby woke up. And puked. And puked some more. And kept on puking. The little guy is sitting on my lap right now, probably getting ready to puke. I’m really not sure which is worse, seeing my poor baby so sick and confused, (because really, how scary must it be to puke when you’re that little?) or, cleaning him and everything up after each time he gets sick. OK, seeing him sick is the worst but the mess is a close second.
Keep your fingers crossed that this passes quickly and that the rest of us don’t get it too. The word around Minneapolis is that this one lasts for days. Christmas is so close. I can handle a slight change of plans, a gift or two that isn’t finished, but puking? On Christmas? Uh-uh.
Sorry for the incredible lack of handmade goodness on this blog lately. I promise, a major show and tell really is coming!
Poor Knittybaby!! Sending good vibes that you all don’t get sick and that you have a healthy Christmas!!!
Oh, poor Knittybaby! Poor you! I hope everyone else stays healthy, and that it passes quickly.
Sorry Knittybaby. That’s the thing that has always been the worst here, too, holding a heaving Neatnik and knowing there isn’t any thing else you can do but to hang on. And scour up the mess, of course.
Oh poor baby. I’m crossing my fingers. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a puker (well, except for my DH who is just…..prone to it.) I just remember Freeze Pops – (however – they stain – even on the way back up.)
Aw, dang. Poor baby. Babies tend to recover fast. Just keep washing your hands. 😦
Poor baby – hope he feels better soon!
Yuck. I hope he feels better very soon. Nick has had the cold with the really bad cough that seems to be going around here too. It’s so hard when little ones are sick and there isn’t much you can do.
I remember the first time my oldest son got sick like that. He was around 3 yrs. old. I came to pick him up from daycare and started crying after seeing the look on his face. Being sick like that is the worst. It’s impossible to focus on anything else. I hope he gets better. Happy holidays.
Drat. Here’s hoping the entire Knittymama family is healthy for Christma.
Oh no! Hope he gets well soon and that you all stay healthy!
Poor baby…it’s bad enough when you know what is happening. But, to be so little and to not understand must be horrible.
I am, however, quite glad that you did not make this one a “show and tell” sort of post.
So sorry to hear about the puking. Here’s hoping that the rest of you escape this and that the little one is back to normal by Christmas!
Every year for 8 years my oldest daughter would get an ear infection the week of Christmas. She wouldn’t get one any other time of year but this. She is now almost 11 and has been earache free for a few years now.
I hope knittybaby is feeling better quickly!
Ugh, poor Knittybaby, and poor you. This year seems to have been particularly bad for bugs. Hope you all escape this one – it sounds nasty.
Poor little guy. Hope he’s better soon.
Hope baby is better soon and everyone else stays healthy. It is terrible when they are so sick so young and there’s no good way way of helping them to really understand that everything will be OK again soon.
We missed him on Wednesday! I hope he feels better soon. Give him a hug from me and the boys. See you in three weeks! Have a great break and holiday…
Awww poor knittybaby. I hope he feels better soon so that he can enjoy the holidays with everyone.
Poor little guy! I hope he’s feeling better ASAP and the rest of you don’t end up with it.
My daughter (2yrs old) just had that! The puking and the messy diapers, too. I had her in to the doctor and she said it was a rotavirus. Puking lasts two days, the diarrhea longer. She threw up on me twice. I am so feeling your pain.
Oh goodness – that is so awful.
I hope no one else gets it – that would be so miserable.
Poor little guy. Hope he feels better in time for everyone to enjoy X-Mas.
