I’m training them already.
Not only will they be doing the dishes for me, but mopping and folding laundry too. I’ll sit on the sofa drinking coffee and knitting socks. Seriously, it’s really going to work. Look how hard they’re working!
Okay, I’m delusional because soon after I took that picture there was a tidal wave of water on the floor and I had to rewash but hey, a girl can dream, right?
Shepherd’s Harvest is this weekend! I’m excited, although it looks as if we’ll have to be out of there by 12:30 in order to get Little Man to a birthday party. The idea of maybe skipping it so we could stay longer was not met with much enthusiasm (many tears in fact) so we’ll try to make it back for the last hour of the party. That means I plan on getting the family there at 9am sharp. I really wanted to pick a meet up time, but not so sure how that will work with limited time there now. But, we’ll probably be around the sheep shearing area around 11 or so. Just keep your eye out for the pink flowered baby sling (with the baby of course!) and a very shaggy four year old. Hope to see some of you out there!
For a second, I was thinking how low your counters must be before I realized there must be a stool involved… More coffee!!!
I’ll look for you tomorrow – not sure what time I’ll be out there, though.
LOVE the shaggy 4 year old. Excellent! My teenager, who is a 2nd degree black belt, has a half dozen friends who all sport that shaggy look.
Way to go Knittymama! A few more lessons and 8 -10 years from now you should be able to supervise from the couch:)
I guess I better get started teaching my little guy to help around the house too. He really likes it when I let him help with the cooking.
Have you introduced them to a Swiffer(-like contraption)? Most toddlers I know love it, especially if you remove one of the pole sections. It’s sort of like having a toddler-powered Roomba: they move around the floor erratically, but eventually most of the floor gets visited. 🙂
Go Mama go! My youngins were only enamoured of new chores for about 5 minutes and then the novelty wore off and the fighting began. As a result they do very little now because I can’t stand to hear them bicker. I know, I need to call nanny 911. Have a great weekend!
Brilliant! I love it when little people ‘help’. It does generally result in more work but their hearts are in the right place.
🙂
Yep, start ’em early! Good for you.
I had that same dream too, but it turned into a nightmarre!!! I love the shaggy hair, my son’s hair was like that too, then he went short for years, and now at 12 he has it long and shaggy again.
Perfect!!! As they get older that will for sure free up some time for you to knit!!!
