Take one first birthday just a month away. Add a cute amigurumi toy needed for that birthday. Do one and a half hours of intense crochet.
Get this???? (That’s a bear butt, if you’re wondering)
My crochet experience is limited to trapezoids that were meant to be squares. Crochet is in my genes, I should be able to do this. I can read directions. So why is it so freakin’ hard???
I find crochet difficult because I can’t see the end of the row. I’m always one stitch off and then I end up with a right triangle when I need a square.
But it sure is easier to rip back, I’ll give it that!
I read your blog all the time, so I’m coming out of lurking to say that I can’t crochet, because it involves too much counting, and I can’t make squares either!
I use to always crochet, but now I find it more difficult than knitting.
Don’t feel so bad – I am crochet hook impaired!
Funny thing about crochet–Its definetely in my genes too! I can barely make a chain stitch…. So look you are ahead of some of us:) It seems difficult to me too and hardly makes any sense. It is one of my goals to at least learn some cool finishing techniques.
Oh how I would love this books. I’d love to chcroet a wardrobe for my grandkids to play with – how fun it would be to dress their bears.
